Healing is the Moment. You are the Future. premiered in Vancouver

This art song, based on the poem with the same title from Tanille Geib (poet), has been premiered by Lynne McMurtry (mezzo) and Alison d'Amato (piano) on the Orpheum Annex from Vancouver (Canada) on the 13th of June 2014.

I was invited by Vancouver International Song Institute to attend its rehearsals and concert, and also to gave a lecture called "Text, and Vocal Articulation as Compositional Material" at the Canadian Music Centre.

Fonds Podiumkunsten has made this experience possible.

The Royal Improvisers Orchestra on tour in Brazil

We are very grateful for having been able to have this exchange with the Brazilian improvisation scene. RIO was in Brazil from the 13th until the 20th of December 2011.

At Centro Cultural São Paulo, Brazil on December 2011

We performed at Serralheria, Centro Cultural São Paulo and Centro Cultural da Juventude. Check the agenda for more details.

We'd like to thank for their help: the Fonds Podiumkunsten, the Central de Cultura of Brazil and specially the Dutch Embassy in Brazil (that has been of great help to make this project possible).
